We will be doing a number of different blog posts throughout the semester to practice our writing. This week, I want you to respond to the first chapter of Digital_Humanities by Anne Burdick, Johanna Drucker, Peter Lunenfeld, Todd Presner, Jeffrey Schnapp.
Specifically, I would like you to define Digital Humanities.
A good place to start is to think about the definition provided in the reading:
“The phrase Digital Humanities thus describes not just a collective singular but also the humanities in the plural, able to address and engage disparate subject matters across media, language, location, and history. But, however heterogeneous, the Digital Humanities is united by its emphasis on making, connecting, interpreting, and collaborating”(24).
Your definition does not need to be very long. Just a few sentences or if you are really good maybe only one!
