Bogost Talk

I wished he would have talked more about the gaming industry. Where does he see the industry going? I felt like the speech was just long and drawn out. I did not like the fact that he was kind of augmentative towards the questions that was asked. I was very put off by that. What I did like was the National Humanities Center building. When walking I noticed the vast amount trees surrounding the area.  It was beautiful. I lived in Durham all of my life and never knew that this building was there. The views in the building were amazing. The glass skylights are perfect for speeches.  When Bogost was giving his talk the sun reigned down in on him like as if it was a spotlight. It almost looked like the setup of the podium in that spot was placed there on purpose.  The paintings inside the building really matched the feeling you got when walking inside the building. It was a very calming feeling inside the Humanities Center.  I did like the fact that we kind of got to know our classmates a little better. It felt like a team building experience. If you could incorporate more of these into the curriculum this would great. It makes the workshop exercises mush easier.
